CANDLELIGHT TARTAN BALL 
August 21, 2009 a Candlelight Tartan Ball will be held at the Rodd Miramichi River Hotel, 1809 Water Street, Miramichi East, N.B. 
 
6p.m. - 7p.m. Meet & Greet & Clan Introduction

7p.m. - 9p.m.  Dinner, Piping in the Haggis & Serving the Mull

9p.m. - 12p.m. 
Entertainment: 
              Marshall Button, comedian, actor, entertainer and best known as "Lucien" will be at the Tartan Ball to tell you all about how he stowing away on a paper boat after the mills closed in Miramichi and Northern New Brunswick.  After a long time on the boat he finally in dear old Scotland where he experienced joy, hard work and hardshipshis.  YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS THIS PERFORMANCE.


A limited number of tickets is available for the Candlelight Tartan Ball.
  Tickets, which are $40.00 per person, should be purchased before August 15th, 2009.  Tickets are available at the following locations.

EVENING CAILIDH
August 22, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. an Outdoor Cailidh will be held at Waterford Green situated on the banks of the fabulous Miramichi River and next to the Rodd River Inn.  Dancers, singers, pipers, fiddlers and othe musicians will be performing.  Don't forget to bring a lawn chair.
The following bands will also perfom solos and as a massed band.

CHURCH SERVICE & KIRKIN OF THE TARTANS 
August 23, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., a Church Service and "Kirkin O' The Tartans" will be held at the St. Andrews United Church, 188 Wellington Street, Miramichi East, N.B.  The  church service will be followed by the Highland Memorial Fountain Service at the Highland Memorial Fountain in Elm Park, 170 Duke Street, Miramichi East, N.B.  The service is to honor those hardy Scottish Pioneers who settled in the Miramichi area.  A reception and lunch will follow at the church.
